I founded Lounge Writers in 2018 with the goal of connecting writers of all levels and genres with highly qualified instructors who can pass on the tools of the creative writing trade. In addition to teaching a number of online craft workshops, I regularly invite bestselling and award-winning authors to lead classes of their own.

Although I write full-time, my true calling has always been teaching. In this capacity, I've helped hundreds of writers improve their craft, reach their goals, and really fall in love with their narratives. I think this experience makes me the perfect editing partner for writers.
I'm an experienced editor with a demonstrated history of working in the writing and editing industry, skilled in developmental/copy editing and proofreading, as well as in web content and journalism. I speak three languages, which makes me quite comfortable working with non-native English speakers. Need a ghostwriter? I can do that, too. I'm very punctual and always meet my deadlines. I think staying on task with things comes from my experience homeschooling my two kids, one of whom started college at sixteen. Writing projects are exciting, no matter the stage. Where most writers shrink away from editing, I embrace it. There's nothing better than helping bring a story to life, and most of the time, the journey of getting there takes more than one person.
I work hard for my writers because I believe that if you've come this far in your writing journey, it means you have something important to say and that you need to be heard.
I'm a college English/Literature professor, and I love helping other writers reach their potential so much that I also teach creative writing courses and host professional writer talks at a writing studio I founded in 2016.
My editing rates depend on the length, genre, type of editing, and the deadline requested, but are generally between 0.03 cents - 0.5 cents per word.

My overall experience with Oksana was excellent. I hired her for editorial guidance on the dark romance series I am developing. She explained her process: All edits are received upon completion of the manuscript, not by chapter. Handing over my work for editing was the most challenging part of the process. As she edited the manuscript, I began outlining the next story in my dark romance series. So, it all worked out in the end. Oksana also provided a 10-page assessment of my manuscript with links to websites that may help develop my writing style and expand my vision. I highly recommend Oksana's services.

I was so lucky to have a chance to work with Oksana! Her edition was gentle and wise. Strict with schedule. She did a great job with my manuscript of memoires. Besides the orthography and syntaxes, she did very valuable comments on the book’s structure, genre consistency, organization and timeline, the titles of the chapters, the logic of the story, balance, and missing information for better readers understanding. As I am not a native English speaker she did also hard work with proper translation. And her development letter made me cry as it was full of support and valuable advice. Oksana was the perfect editor for my essay. Her line edits made every sentence better and clearer. There was no boilerplate in her developmental notes. Every suggestion showed her careful reading (and probably some re-readings) of my work. She provided advice on improving specific complex sentences, and showed me where better transitions in my storytelling were needed to improve the flow. She also understood what I was trying to accomplish and supported it through her editing and her comments. All in all, Oksana was the ideal collaborative partner.
